It is Autism Acceptance Week from 2nd to 8th April 2024 and children will be having conversations in class about autism awareness.

 

Our school works with the local Mental Health Service who can support parents.  Please contact the school Sendco to discuss or to make a referral. Or please refer to contact details below.

Afasic supports and provides information for families with children and young adults who have Speech Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) with a focus on Developmental Language Disorder (DLD).

 

 Sendiass is confidential listening advice and support service for parents and carers with concerns over their child's education. 

Just some of the issues that they can help you with are:

Special educational needs,  Requesting statutory assessment,  EHC process

 Our autism support team, known as ASSIST (Autism Spectrum Service for Information Support and Training), works with parents and practitioners to support children and young people across the autism spectrum.

 

 

Me2 Club is an inclusion charity for children and young people with additional needs and disabilities in the Wokingham and Reading Boroughs.

Autism Berkshire was founded as the Berkshire Autistic Society in 1990 by a group of parents of children with autism, related conditions and challenging behaviours.

 

The service is a partnership between Autism Berkshire and Parenting Special Children, which serves the Reading, Wokingham and West Berkshire council areas.

 

We provide specialist support for Berkshire Families who haveChildren + Young People with Special Needs.

 

Our Centre, based within All Saints Primary School on Norrey’s Avenue in Wokingham, provides a welcoming and inviting space for children to socialise and learn.

 

We offer support, advice & activities for autistic individuals or those with other learning disabilities; their parents, carers or professionals within Wokingham, West Berkshire & Pembrokeshire.
